Ivan is a year old!

I've been so remiss (and posting most updates on Facebook). But, a quick update. Ivan turned one on July 10. 2010 and had a wonderful party with family and friends. He even hosted a keg, but decided to abstain from drinking it himself.

He started officially walking on his birthday. He stood at a table and walked away from it. Luckily, this came just in time for Tyler to see this before he left for the Summer to go fishing in Alaska. Ivan also remains a small little guy. He weighed 17 lbs. and was 29" at his one-year check up. He is in about the 2nd or 3rd% for weight and between the 25-50% for height.

The LITTLE stinker

Went to Ivan's 6 month checkup on Wednesday. All was well. Ivan is 26" long (or as Bob says, 2 foot 2) and weights 14lbs. 9oz. He's in the 50% for height, but only the 10% for weight. Guess we'll have to start calling him Slim. :D

Hopefully, he stays in the 10% or moves up a little next appointment. Otherwise, he's doing great!

Ivan's half birthday and his first meal

Ivan turned 6 months old yesterday. It is so hard to believe that he's already a 1/2 year old. We celebrated by having Bob & Christy over (Nana and Top Gun were in California) and feeding Ivan his first meal: organic brown rice cereal and breastmilk. He loved it! We had to take his bib off, though, because he wanted to eat it too. The little guy made quite a mess. Then, we stripped him naked to wash him down and he peed on the kitchen floor while walking. Pretty funny. Here are some pics of the big day.

Tummy Turner...

Ivan can turn himself around! He's not crawling yet, but he can turn around on his tummy. He enjoys it on our bed especially.

Walking

Ivan loves to walk around our house. He especially enjoys it when we take his socks off on the hard woods. :)

Ivan's First Christmas

Been a while since I posted. Christmas was great with all the family! We had a pretty hectic few days but it was lots of fun. Ivan ate wrapping paper, but that's about it. Top Gun got him a train to be played with only at Christmas at his house. Also, Ivan sat up unassisted for the first time on Christmas Day. Pretty exciting. :D

Ivan's visit to Colorado

Ivan and family went to Colorado to see Uncle Alex graduate from college. It was a great trip with the whole family.

Off to get our Christmas tree...

Ty, Ivan and Rachel went and actually cut down our tree this year at a Christmas tree farm in Woodinville. It was chock full of hot spiced cider and handsaws. So fun.

Ivan has just started finding his toes. Now, at every diaper change he puts them in his mouth as soon as the diaper is off.

He is mimicking Christy and mom and has us in stitches. We sound pretty silly too! :D
